We cherish our volunteers!
Putting on a show requires all types of talents and capabilities – not just performers. At Endangered Productions you will not only contribute to a vibrant live music theatre production, but also be a part of an inclusive company that aims to support its people and give back to the community.
We need volunteers for the many tasks that go into successfully mounting a show:
- Creating props or costumes
- Set construction
- Marking up sets, getting props organised
- Stage management
- Production assistance
- Acting as audience
- Observing and enjoying the rehearsal process
- Front of house.
Volunteers can also assist with:
- Photography and filming – shows and rehearsals
- IT
- Marketing, social media, writing, designing
- Administration and finances
- Supper preparation – food and drink are vital elements at all rehearsals!
You do not need to have worked in these areas before. However, you need to be keen to develop new proficiencies and become a productive part of our community. Theatre is a great environment to develop new skills, and friendships!

"I used to work as Senior Administrative Officer for the government and I wanted to continue contributing to the community in some way. I'm passionate about dance, opera and music. Being involved with Endangered Productions helps me to keep connected to my passion."
Flor Thornberry de Reyna
"At Endangered I have recorded audio & video for various productions. I love to think I'm making a contribution to such worthwhile enterprises and in particular helping capture them for posterity. Being involved with Endangered Productions gives me a chance to work with amazing people!"
Wayne Richmond, Humph Hall
"Endangered Productions helped me hone my writing skills by providing interesting subjects, great feedback and an enormous amount of encouragement. I normally work as a psychologist in private practice. I am passionate about helping people in their personal lives. I am also invested in increasing people's understanding of the complexities of the human condition. I’ve also always loved the arts and enjoy the expression of the self through music, drama and dance."
Sue Hawkins
"I do video recording and editing. I've also done sound operations and am currently preparing for another video recording and edit for a forthcoming production. Being involved with Endangered Productions gives me the opportunity to practise and improve my skills, learn new ones, meet a wonderful group of people, and work in an environment where I feel nurtured."
Jenyne Hanson
"I got involved with Endangered Productions because they produce my work! And I admire what they do. I do translation and dramaturgy and I enjoy it because it’s an innovative company."

Other ways to join the community
Suggest someone for our Social Inclusion Program. It provides creative opportunities for people who might otherwise be excluded or marginalised through disability or disadvantage.
Become a mentor or mentee. We particularly welcome skilled, creative, arts practitioners, perhaps retired Super Citizens, who are willing to act as mentors. We also welcome mentees who wish to benefit from the skills and experience of others.
Get a paid gig. Our productions provide work opportunities for professional musicians, singers, and actors.
We love sponsors!
By becoming a private or corporate sponsor you will contribute to the creation of quality, accessible music theatre in Sydney.
Contact us and we will get back to you directly about opportunities in our upcoming production of Peer Gynt.
