Endangered Productions was so lucky to have the creative and multi-talented Shadi Jalinoos working behind the scenes on two of our major productions - Peer Gynt in 2022 and It's So Last Century in 2023.
Props, costumes, graphic design, and print, Shadi can do it all!
Shadi has always loved the creative challenge of fashioning something new from existing materials.
She was thrilled to be bringing a lifetime’s experience of repurposing to the It's So Last Century production, conjuring costumes from pieces of preloved clothing and crafting props from her favourite medium, papier mache.
She was lucky enough to have previously worked on the props and costumes for Endangered Productions’ Peer Gynt.
Outside of productions, Shadi always has a design project on the go, from making cards to moulding ceramic pots or tiny animals out of felt. She is known to go completely over-the-top when creating book parade costumes for her kids, who have had to walk the neighbourhood decked out as Garfield and Krusty the Clown.
Shadi also has a background in managing hectic brand design projects, which has proven invaluable in keeping on top of both backstage logistics and producing the audience Program for the show this year.
When she isn’t making or managing things, Shadi helps refugees tackle their insurmountable paperwork. She also loves dabbling in digital design and is finally following through her lifetime dream of learning to play the piano.
