Endangered Productions is so happy that Damien Hall is a regular in our productions. In 2025 he appears in two roles in Bernstein and Busoni. Previous performances with us include our 2023 production It's So Last Century as a party guest and donkey man and the major role of Bastien in Bastien and Bastienne and in the Bach's Coffee Cantata.
Damien has sung with Opera Australia's chorus for the past 17 years, starting with the 2006 Pirates of Penzance tour, followed by opera and operetta in six Languages. He was featured in the Cockney Quartet for the 2008 My Fair Lady tour and performed at the Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour five times, including the first.
Damien grew up in Canberra's rich amateur dramatic scene, with many opportunities to grow in roles such as Petruchio in Taming of the Shrew and Enjolras in Les Misérables.
In 2005 he was encouraged to apply for the OperatunityOz competition, where he placed in the Semi-Finals, and was invited to audition for Opera Australia.
In 2020, he had the chance to sing the role of Bastien in Mozart's Bastien and Bastienne for Endangered Productions at Customs House. Of this performance, Sydney Arts Guide described a "fine vocal delivery”.
Other performances with Endangered Productions include: the 2023 production It's So Last Century as a party guest; Leandro in Arlecchino; and a toe-tapping trio member in Trouble in Tahiti (both in the 2025 double bill Bernstein and Busoni).
When Damien is not singing opera, he has enjoys singing with the Sydney a Capella group, Cantabile.
He has been a proud member of the MEAA since 2007.
