Steve Walter is a mainstay of Endangered Productions. He has been repetiteur and pianist for many of our productions including Peer Gynt in 2022 and It's So Last Century in 2023. We sincerely thank him for his contribution.
Steve is a piano graduate of Adelaide’s Elder Conservatorium.
He worked as a repetiteur for the State Opera of South Australia, before moving to Sydney, joining the music staff of Opera Australia in 1990.
His superb musicality and world class pianistic skills have led him to work on opera’s most difficult repertoire, including Wagner’s Ring Cycle, Berg’s 'Lulu', and Prokovief’s 'Love for Three Oranges'.
In his thirty years working at Opera Australia, the highlight for Stevie was rehearsing 'My Fair Lady' under the guidance of Dame Julie Andrews in 2016.
